A late-night chocolatería off Sol
Sample entry: churros and thick chocolate, served to people on their way home rather than out.
A demonstration entry for a format Madrid takes more seriously than anywhere else. The chocolaterías near Sol run very late or straight through the night, and the clientele at five in the morning is entirely people ending an evening rather than starting a day.
No specific place is being recommended here. What a real entry would tell you: whether the chocolate is thick enough to stand a churro in, whether there is a queue, and what time it stops being a reasonable idea.
