Calle Jorge Juan
The quiet end of Salamanca shopping: small fronts, awnings, and a courtyard or two off the street.
Serrano is the famous Salamanca shopping street and it is mostly international flagships. Jorge Juan, one block over, is the one worth walking — smaller fronts, Spanish designers, and a couple of pedestrian passages running off it with more behind them than the entrances suggest.
It is also where a lot of Madrid eats lunch when it is dressed up, which makes it a reasonable place to end up at two o'clock rather than just a shopping errand.
