Rooms above a courtyard in Monti
Sample entry: five minutes from the Forum, in a neighbourhood that still has a greengrocer.
A demonstration entry for the neighbourhood that solves the central Rome problem. Monti is a ten-minute walk from the Colosseum and the Forum but it is not a tourist quarter — the squares are small, there are workshops and food shops at street level, and people live there.
A real entry would need to be specific about noise. The main square fills with people drinking on the steps in the evening, and whether your window faces it is the entire difference between a good and a bad night.
