Miradouro da Senhora do Monte
The highest of the city viewpoints, and the one worth setting an alarm for.
Lisbon has a great many miradouros and they are not equivalent. This one sits highest, looks straight across the castle to the river, and has a pine tree and a low wall instead of a kiosk and a queue. At sunset it is three deep in people. At eight in the morning there is you, a jogger, and somebody's dog.
The walk up from Graça is short and steep. Tram 28 stops nearby if you would rather let something else do the climbing, though in high season you will spend longer waiting for a tram than you would spend walking.
